You did not start a business to be its IT department.

Yet somehow you are the one resetting passwords, calling the internet company and wondering whether the backup actually works.

Most small businesses we meet are running on a mix that grew by accident: a laptop someone bought at Costco, email set up by a web designer years ago, files on a shared drive nobody secured, and a friend or a one-person shop who helps when they can. It works until the day it does not, and that day usually costs more than years of doing it properly would have.

Managed IT for a small business means one team owns all of it. We monitor and patch every computer, answer the help desk, protect email and devices, back everything up and test the restores, and deal with your software, internet and phone vendors so you never sit on hold again. One flat monthly fee, based on how many people you have.

  • The one-person IT shop who is on vacationA team means someone always answers, and nothing depends on one person remembering where the passwords are.
  • Email that stopped working at 8 AMMonitoring catches most problems before your staff do. When something does break, the help desk answers the phone.
  • "We have a backup" that has never been restoredWe back up your files and systems, then actually restore from them on a schedule to prove they work.
  • Three vendors pointing at each otherSoftware, internet, phones, printers. We make the calls and own the problem until it is fixed.

Local, on Shea Boulevard, and most of our clients have been with us for years.

What we handle for small businesses

Eight services, one plan, one number to call.

Help Desk & Day-to-Day Support

Phone and email help desk that knows your office. Password resets, printer fights, a laptop that will not boot. Most issues fixed remotely the same business day.

Monitoring & Patching

Every computer and server watched around the clock, updates tested and installed after hours, problems caught before your staff notice them.

Cybersecurity That Fits

Multi-factor sign-in, device protection, enterprise-grade email filtering and the settings most small businesses never turn on. Included, not an add-on.

Backups You Can Prove

Encrypted local and cloud backups of files, systems and Microsoft 365, with scheduled test restores so you know they work before you need them.

Microsoft 365 & Email

Email, files and Teams set up properly, licensing right-sized, and the account yours, not your web designer's or GoDaddy's.

Business Wi-Fi & Network

Business-grade Wi-Fi that reaches every desk, a firewall that is actually configured, and clean cabling when you add people or move.

Vendor Management

Internet, phones, printers, line-of-business software. We hold the vendor accounts, make the calls and own the problem until it is fixed.

New Hires, Laptops & Procurement

Standard laptop builds, accounts ready on day one, access removed the day someone leaves, and purchasing at business pricing instead of Costco.

What the first 90 days usually look like

Described by type, not by client. We do not publish customer names without permission.

A 12-person CPA firm on GoDaddy email

Account taken back, multi-factor sign-in on everyone, laptops standardized before tax season. The help desk became the only number staff call.

A 25-person professional services firm with a part-time IT guy

Documented everything he carried in his head, replaced the dead backup, and gave him a team to hand off to.

A medical practice with a server in a closet

Monitoring and tested backups first, HIPAA safeguards documented, then a plan for what stays on the server and what moves.

An HOA with 3 sites and 50 staff

One help desk for every site, Wi-Fi that works in the community centers, and coverage when their one IT person is out.

Who this is for

Being clear about fit saves everyone time.

A good fit

  • Scottsdale and Phoenix businesses of roughly 5 to 50 people
  • Owners tired of being the IT department
  • Firms whose one-person IT help is retiring, overloaded or on vacation too often
  • Professional services, CPA, medical, dental, construction, nonprofits and HOAs
  • Companies that want a flat monthly fee and a written plan

Probably not a fit

  • Home users or a single laptop
  • Shopping for the cheapest hourly rate
  • Nobody on your side able to make decisions
  • You want someone to blame rather than someone to fix it

Local IT support, on site when it matters

Our office is on Shea Boulevard. A technician is a short drive, not a ticket queue.

Most small business IT issues are fixed remotely the same day. When a laptop, printer, cable or Wi-Fi access point needs hands on it, we come to you. We work on site across Scottsdale, including the Airpark, Kierland, McCormick Ranch, DC Ranch and Old Town, and throughout Phoenix.

Small business IT: common questions

How small is too small for managed IT?

If you have five or more people depending on computers, email and a shared set of files to get paid, you are big enough for the problems and big enough for the plan. Most of our small business clients are 5 to 50 people. Solo and home-based businesses are usually better served by a one-time fix or an hourly arrangement, and we will tell you that honestly.

What does managed IT for a small business actually include?

Monitoring and patching of every computer, help desk by phone and email, protection on each device, email filtering, managed backups with test restores, and someone who handles your software, internet and phone vendors for you. You get one flat monthly fee based on the number of people, so a bad month does not turn into a surprise invoice.

What does it cost?

A flat monthly fee per person, set after a short review of what you have. The number depends on how many people, how many devices and whether you need help desk only or everything handled. We quote it in writing, and the free IT health check comes first so you see what you are buying before you decide.

We already have a computer guy. Why change?

Many of our clients came from a one-person arrangement that worked until it did not: a vacation, a hard drive, a ransomware email. A team means someone always answers, everything is documented, and nothing depends on one person remembering where things are. If your current setup is fine, we will say so after the health check.

Will we lose time switching?

No. Onboarding is done in the background: we inventory your systems, install monitoring and protection remotely, and move over documentation and passwords. Your staff notice a new help desk number and not much else. Most small businesses are fully onboarded within two weeks.

Do you come on site, or is everything remote?

Both. Most issues are fixed remotely the same business day. When hardware, cabling or Wi-Fi needs hands on it, a technician drives over from our office on Shea Boulevard. We work on site across Scottsdale and Phoenix.

Can you help with Microsoft 365, email and a slow office network?

Yes, those are the three most common things we fix in the first month. Email and files into Microsoft 365 set up properly, security turned on, and a network that stops dropping. If you are on GoDaddy email or an old server, see our cloud services page for how that move works.

Are we a target for cyber attacks? We are tiny.

Yes, because attackers use automation, not judgment. A small business with no multi-factor sign-in and no tested backup is the easiest payday there is. The protection that stops most of it is not expensive; it is configuration and discipline, and it is included in every plan.
